Who we are.
We are Room 1 Project, a community of musicians, singers, songwriters, and worshippers from churches
across the Black Country, UK.
Room 1 Project began in 2011 in a small rehearsal room in Walsall, where a few eager hearts gathered and found His presence after deciding to worship Jesus with no agenda.
Since then, it has grown to become a vibrant and creative community, centred around pushing deeper into worship, getting lost in His presence, and living life together in the pure joy that is found there. It has become a spring of life for many, and a catalyst for growing closer to Jesus.
It is said that God loves to give good gifts, and here, in what is becoming increasingly like a family, we are gifted with one another, with community, belonging, song, music and the Holy Spirit Himself. Room 1 Project is a response to the love of God and His desire to be central in everything we do.
In 2014, Room 1 project recorded its first album which was then released in the spring of 2015.
Later that year we decided to launch R1P Presents, a way of showcasing the God-given creativity
and passion that is flowing on an individual level within the group.
As a result we have now released our first R1P Presents music, James Thomas Noel Clark’s debut EP 'Compass' (Spring 2016), Ben Dean's debut album 'Abloom Again' (Autumn 2016), and 'Wait a While', by Emily, Alice, Lucy (Spring 2018). At the end of December 2018 Room 1 Project released its latest featured EP 'Live at St. Matthew's'.
